Gibson

    Gibson 1952 LG-1 w/ossc
    Features:

What's wrong with it? Lot's of repaired cracks, wrong truss rod cover and it's old and beat up. What's right with it? It's old and beat up, has had a neck set, all of the cracks are repaired, sounds like the old Gibson that you know you want, original tuners and is just oozing with vibe. They can make new guitars to look like old ones but they just haven't figured out how to make them sound and play like vintage instruments, this guy's got it. Also (feature benefit) had it's original soft shell case.

Gibson 1957 GA40 Les Paul Amp
    Features:

Great condition on what is now a 60 year old amplifier. Tweed is in good condition, has a super awesome cigarette burn from probably 1969 (who knows, seems like a legit guess to me), sound of the rock / blues / country / jazz / anything-guitar gods. As far as we know, everything is straight in this guy, has what is probably the original Jensen. Tremolo is super present and when it's cranked, it's nice and juicy.

    Gibson 1966 SG Jr w/ossc
    Features:

Excellent condition on this most excellent machine of electric music making. Some guitars are out in the world, rocking it like Rasputin and some live lives of quiet solitude, in their cases, contemplating why Rasputin would be used in the context of rocking out. This guy definitely had a lot of case time. Other than a few bumps on the back side, it's pretty freaking straight. Plays just like a mid-sixties SG, sounds raw and nasty, just as you'd expect a single P-90 to sound, has the Vibrola for the wiggly notes and comes with it's original soft shell case.

    Gibson 1974 SG Custom w/hsc
    Features:

Ok, before we even start, look at picture #10 (the last one). At some point in this guitars life, someone took off the original tuners and put replacement tuners on. Between the screw holes of the two E tuners is a finish crack. We've checked it out with a magnifing glasses, pushed it, pulled it and had our repair person check it out. It isn't a headstock crack, if you're feeling that it is, this isn't the guitar for you. If you're cool with it, this is an absolutely fabulous SG Custom. Really great condition, all original (fortunately they saved the original tuners), pots are original and date 1974, great thinnish 70's profile neck. This is a "Fretless Wonder", frets are in good shape. It doesn't have the original case but it does however have a 90's brown w/ pink lining Gibson SG case.

Gibson 1978 Les Paul Custom w/ohsc
    Features:

First and foremost, this guitar sounds GREAT! Whatever was going on with the mojo/karma/kismet/fengshui the day they put this guy together, it was on the good foot. Nice 60's-ish neck profile, low frets (there's a reason they call them fretless wonders), set up well and weighs in at 9.8lbs. Comes with it's original "chainsaw" case.

    Gibson 1989 Flying V w/ohsc
    Features:

For such a seemingly radical design, the V has been a rock and blues staple for many many years. Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Albert King, The Scorpions, Jim James, Lonnie Mack, Lennie Kravitz and Grace Potter (definitely the hottest of the bunch, well there is Lenny) to name very few. This guys been played a bit but still in fine condition to be 27 years old. Sounds great, plays great and she's got the look. Comes with it's original hardshell case.

    Gibson 1996 SG Standard w/ohsc
    Features:

Great condition on this SG which is now of legal age and you know what that means (out all night, disappointing their parents, showing up to Thanksgiving hungover). Sounds great, pretty sure it's the 490R/498T pickup combo, has the standard mid-90's SG neck profile (not the super fat one but not the thin '61 reis either), set-up to rock faces off and comes with it's original hardshell case. And, of course, it's the only color a SG should be, Cherry Red....we know, we know, Angus' are black but he also had an album call Highway to Hell, these aren't coincidences people!!!

Gibson 1997 '54 Historic Reissue Les Paul Goldtop w/ohsc
    Features:

Now we're talking!!! An incredible, and we do mean incredible, reissue from Gibson of a 1954 Goldtop Les Paul. It wasn't reliced by Gibson, we don't actually know who did the relicing (weathering, distressing, aging, et al) but whomever did it, they are of Jedi Master status. Great neck profile, 50's for sure but not the gigantor baseball profiles that all the LP aficionados seem to dig these days, it's very playable. Has Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90's (original pickups included in the case) wired to hum cancelling in the center position. Not only does it look and play great, it sounds even better, something about a Paul with P-90's.... If you're looking to get into an early version of a Les Paul and don't have roughly $20,000 laying around, this is your guy. Comes with it's original hardshell case.

    Gibson 1998 ES-335 Cherry w/ohsc
    Features:

Great condition, not to say that it hasn't been played a bunch but previous owners were very conscientious of what they had. Great medium neck profile, looks to be original pickups (would make them most likely '57 Classics) and I mean, come on, it's a Cherry Red ES-335! It doesn't really get much cooler. Comes with it's original hardshell case, which seems to have taken the brunt of the wear....a bit tapey but looks really cool.

Gibson 2007 LP Classic Antique w/OHSC
    Features:

Mahogany top, chambered Mahogany body, Mahogany neck...if you're into Mahogany we think you may have found your ride. Super light weight (7.6lbs) for a Les Paul, it's pretty much the weight of an SG for that matter. Has a replace neck pickup obviously a Seymour Duncan of some sort, sounds great. The bridge PU looks like an original, 490T or '57 Classic maybe. As far as condition, this guy was somebodies main gigging instrument and they played it a lot. It doesn't have any signs of abuse or being knocked around but they probably had classical dude fingernails and worked their control knobs a lot. There's quite a bit of top scratching going on, but other than that it's in what the guitar industry would call good to very good condition. Comes with an original hardshell case.

    Features:

Light weight, satin finish, no frills Les Paul in excellent condition**. Set-up really well and sounds great, comes with it's original hardshell case. **Excellent condition other than between the fingerboard and toggle switch there's some sore of engraving: some of us thinks it's Tibetian, others Sanskrit, while there are some opinions it's ancient Druidic...it also may be "Metalise" which is the alphabet they use on Metal (usually Death or Hardcore) posters and concert handbills. None the less, we thought you may want to know, it's not very apparent in the photos/

Gibson 2013 Les Paul Traditional Pro w/ohsc
    Features:

Great condition, set-up very well, tons of tone shaping options with it's push-pull pots, locking tuners, super lux Heritage Cherry flame top and it's original hardshell case. Here's a cut-n-paste straight from the horses mouth to tell you more: Taking design and visual cues from the Les Pauls of the '80s and '90s, the Les Paul Traditional Pro II features powerful pickups with push/push for coil splits and boost circuit, '60s neck profile, Grover locking tuners, antique binding, period-correct pickguard, vintage Gibson top hat knobs, and the revolutionary Plek set up. With all the fat, sweet, snarling Les Paul tone that purists love, the new Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro II sports a mahogany body with a thick maple cap for the perfect blend of warmth and clarity. The top is finished in high-gloss lacquer, while the back, sides, and neck have a smooth satin finish that feels great and lets the wood resonate fully. Each Les Paul Traditional also comes with Gibson USA's standard black snakeskin case. Includes case. Period-Correct Pickguard The creme-colored pickguard has been a Les Paul staple dating back to the models of the late 1950s and the early 1960s. Many players, however, removed the pickguard from their Les Pauls to show off the beauty of the flame maple tops, prompting Gibson to stop installing the pickguard altogether. During the 1980s and 1990s, Gibson began reinstalling the pickguard in the factory, and the Les Pauls from this era once again arrived in stores bearing the classic, creme-colored pickguard. The Les Paul Traditional comes equipped with a period-correct pickguard, designed to protect the maple top. Pickups: Neck - '57 Classic; Bridge - Super '57 Among the qualities that make Gibson's original "Patent Applied For" humbucking pickups so unique are the subtle variations between coil windings. For the first few years of their productions”1955 to 1961”Gibson's PAF humbuckers were wound using imprecise machines, resulting in pickups with slightly different output and tone. The '57 Classic and Super '57 pickups are the result of Gibson's drive to capture and recreate this characteristic. Introduced in 1992, the '57 Classic at the neck provides warm, full tone with a balanced response, packing that classic Gibson PAF humbucker crunch, inspired by those original PAFs that received a few extra turns of wire. The Super '57 bridge pickup debuts in the Trad Pro with a wider frequency response and increased output. Both are made by Gibson to the exact same specs as the original PAFs, including Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, 2-conductor braided wiring. Gibson added poly-coated wiring, which improves consistency by eliminating thick or thin spots on the wiring, and wax potting, which removes all internal air space and any chance of microphonic feedback. Both pickups offer coil splitting for single-coil sounds and a boost circuit via push/push switching in the volume controls. Å“Straight Split coil-splitting offers pure single coil tone and differs from LP Standards and Studios that have a Å“Super Tap coil-tap, which still has a small amount of humbucking. The boost circuit has a user-adjustable 10-dB boost for added power and frequency range for solos, single-note picking and dirty chording (depending on amp settings) and features true bypass that disengages the boost completely, ensuring pure passive Les Paul tone. Revolutionary Plek Set Up The Les Paul Traditional is the first model from Gibson USA to utilize the revolutionary Plek machine in setting up the guitar. The Plek is a German-made, computer-controlled machine that carefully measures each fret, along with the fingerboard height under each string, and then automatically dresses each fret, virtually eliminating string buzz and greatly improving the overall playability of the guitar. This pioneering process does in minutes what it takes a luthier several hours”sometimes even days”to accomplish. Every fret is accurately aligned, and the guitar is properly intonated, leaving the instrument "Plek'd" and amazingly playable. Antique Binding To see the process of putting the binding on the Les Paul Traditional is to really appreciate the effort and attention that Gibson puts into each instrument. A lone craftsman will carefully glue and fit 2 pieces of binding around the entire body of a Les Paul. He then winds a single, very long piece of narrow cloth around the entire body until the entire surface is nearly covered. The body is then hung to dry for a full 24 hours before it is unwrapped and moved into the next phase of production. It has been done the same way for over 100 years. Some question the value of adding binding, but Gibson believes it is a fundamental part of our rich guitar-making history. The binding adds elegance to the Les Paul Standard, and helps protect the edges of the body. The neck binding is installed over the fret ends, which eliminates sharp fret edges and provides for a smooth neck and easier playability. Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options. Features A user-adjustable 10-dB boost True bypass ensures pure passive Les Paul tone New Å“Super TM57 bridge pickup with wider frequency response Easy-to-use push/push pots engage coil-splits and boost circuit Å“Straight Split coil-splitting offers pure single coil tone Includes hardshell case
